Do not use any oil-based product near the eye area prior to pad placement — it will cause pad migration within minutes of starting your set.
2. Size and Shape the Pad
Most gel pad kits come in one or two sizes. Trim larger pads at the inner corner with small scissors if the pad edge would press against the lacrimal caruncle (the pink inner-eye tissue). A pad pressed into that area is uncomfortable and shifts constantly as the client tenses their face.
