Volume Lash Extensions in Vancouver: Full & Fluffy

August 3, 2026 · Ola Beauty Bar, Burnaby

Want full, fluffy, head-turning lashes? Volume lash extensions are how you get there. Here is how the volume family works and how to pick the right level of drama.

What are volume lashes?

Instead of one extension per natural lash, volume lashes use hand-made "fans" of several ultra-fine extensions placed on each natural lash. Because the fibres are so light, you get much more fullness without weighing your lashes down. This technique is sometimes called Russian volume.

Who is volume best for?

If you prefer something more understated, read about classic lash extensions instead, or blend the two with a hybrid set.

Do volume lashes damage your natural lashes?

Not when they are done correctly. Because volume fans are made from ultra-fine fibres, a properly weighted set is safe and comfortable. Damage comes from fans that are too heavy or poor isolation — which is exactly why choosing a certified, top-rated artist matters.

Keeping them full

Book fills every two to three weeks, keep them clean with a lash-safe foam, and avoid oil near the eyes. Done right, volume lashes are a comfortable, everyday luxury.

What to expect at your volume appointment

A new volume set takes about 75 minutes for Light and Full Volume, and 105 to 135 minutes for Mega Volume, Mega Wispy and Super Mega. You will lie back with your eyes closed, so it is a good time to relax, listen to music or even nap. Your lash artist will clean your lashes, place under-eye pads, then isolate each natural lash and attach a handmade fan. Before you leave, you will get aftercare tips so your set starts off right.

Come with clean, makeup-free eyes and skip mascara and eyeliner on the day. Wearing a comfortable top and using the bathroom beforehand also makes a long session easier.

How to choose your level of fullness

Think about your everyday life as much as the look you love in photos. A few questions can help you decide:

Bring a photo or two of looks you like. It helps your artist match the style to your natural lash length and eye shape.

What fills cost and why timing matters

Fill pricing depends on how many extensions are left, which is roughly 80%, 60% or 40% of your set. For example, a Full Volume fill is $70 at 1 to 2 weeks, $80 at 2 to 3 weeks and $90 at 3 to 4 weeks. A Mega Volume fill is $95, $110 or $125 for the same windows. Booking sooner is usually the better value, and your set looks fuller in between.

If you wait too long, you may need a new set instead of a fill. Light Volume fills are $65, $75 and $85, so there is a budget-friendly option too. If you ever want a break, removal is $35 for Ola Beauty Bar clients and $45 for lashes applied elsewhere.

Common mistakes to avoid

Small habits like these keep your volume set looking neat for longer between fills.
